Google is honouring Mario Day (March 10th) in form this year. Nintendo and Google have gathered up to take Mario to Google Maps on iOS or Android platform. Mario Time, as Google describes it, will be accessible in the new update of Google Maps mobile apps starting now. A fresh yellow “?” symbol will arrive next to destinations, which will allow Mario to display the navigation sign in his kart and follow you along your commute.
There won’t be any red shell dropping or bananas with the route, so if you’re heading the package then you don’t demand to worry about a wonder spiny shell at all. Mario will be accessible as a simplistic position tag beyond Google Maps worldwide for a week. There’s even a secret Easter egg: if you tap the “?” symbol 100 times you’ll listen to a 1-UP music just like in Nintendo’s games.
While you might normally assume to see this type of performance on April Fools’ Day, this isn’t the prime time Google has updated the look of Google Maps. Google modified its Maps position tag into either a TIE fighter or an X-Wing back in 2015 to mark the launch of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Google Maps also customized into Ms. Pac-Man for April Fools’ Day last time.
