It has been a decade since the fans all across the world have been wanting to see Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin together for the sequel of Zombieland. The first movie released in 2010 and was a huge success amongst fans who loved the comic and graphic portrayal of a zombie apocalypse.

The promotion team of the movie decided to unveil of the team getting reunited through the ten-year challenge. The original cast of the extremely loved 2009 zombie comedy is back to business in Zombieland: Double Tap. “Zombieland: Double Tap” is the full title as revealed through the new poster.
Ruben Fleischer has once again worked upon the direction of the movie from the script which has been worked upon by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. All of these names have been a part of lots of success in superhero films.films. While Ruben Fleischer through Venom has delivered one of the greatest hits of his career. According to reports, “The sequel will once again put the quartet on a chaotic journey through America, where they face off again evolved zombies, run into some new human survivors, and face their growing pains as a makeshift family.”
If we talk about the new characters, Zombieland: Double Tap has already brought in the Set It Up star Zoey Deutch as a mysterious character. The Luke Cage and Daredevil star Rosario Dawson has also joined the star cast. Both actresses have signed for mystery roles. Hence it has been unknown how big of a part they will be playing in the film.
When Zombieland hit the screens in 2009, zombie horror enjoyed huge popularity. In 2009 Zombieland was accompanied by other zombie horror films like 28 Days Later by Danny Boyle, Zack Snyder‘s Dawn of the Dead, and Edgar Wright‘s Shaun of the Dead. In recent years, the genre has been shifted as it has been owned by The Walking Dead for many years. There hasn’t been a cinematic surge of zombie films before this sequel (keeping aside indie dramas set in the zombie apocalypse like Cargo, and The Cured). This is the reason there has been a curiosity to know what kind of content and comedy Wernick and Rheese are going to bring to the script. Zombieland: Double Tap will hit the screens on 11th October 2019.
