This weekend has proved to be special as well as lucky for the box office as the most deserving movies have got the top positions.

“How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” continues to be on the first position for two complete weekends in a row, whereas, Tyler Perry’s “A Madea Family Funeral” gets better than expected opening and claims the second position in the box office.

Dean Deblois-directed movie How to Train Your Dragon: the Hidden World is the finale of the series, and will most probably cross the total grosses of its previous two parts since the movie has already soared the box office with $375 million worldwide.

Till February, the movies at top 3 positions in the box office were –

1) DreamWork’s “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”
2) Fox’s “Alita: Battle Angel”
3) Warner Bro’s “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part”

Tyler Perry’s “A Madea Family Funeral” released on 1st March and got an unexpected opening since day 1. It landed directly on the second position in box office changing the order as follows –

1) DreamWork’s “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”
2) Tyler Perry’s “A Madea Family Funeral”
3) Fox’s “Alita: Battle Angel”

Hence, making Warner Bro’s “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” fall down to the fourth position.

As per reported by Movieweb, A Madea Family Funeral claimed $27 million on its opening as well as Alita: Battle Angel has yet earned $278.2 million internationally and $72.2 million domestically.

Movieweb further reported – Along with these movies, Hollywood has got some other new releases this weekend. One of them being Greta couldn’t reach its expectation by bringing in just $4.5 million, thus following the movie Isn’t it Romantic which has bought $4.6 in its third weekend, claiming the seventh position in the box office.
