Selena Gomez has made her first-ever appearance at Coachella alongside Cardi B and Ozuna during DJ Snake’s set to perform their hit song “Taki Taki”.

The surprise performance, which took place on Friday, also marks the official return to the scene of the singer, who has been keeping quiet since last October following mental and physical health issues.

According to E! News, before Coachella, Selena Gomez had not been seen live on stage for almost a year, last time being her participation to her close friend Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour back in May 2018.

The “Only You” singer was admitted to a mental health facility in October 2018 and made her comeback from treatment two months later, in December. However, she had not been very active on social media until her live performance on Friday.

Selena Gomez has also had physical issues, as she has confirmed she has lupus and announced on Instagram she underwent a kidney transplant last year.

For the show, Gomez rocked a smart and refined look wearing a white suit with a white shirt underneath.

Cardi B, excited and happy for the performance shared many stories and pictures on social media. She also shared a video captioned as: “Last night at COACHELLA!! Thank you @djsnake for bringing us out.

“I want to express how much love I have for @ozuna@selenagomez @djsnakes! They are the humblest sweetest people ever and when you meet them and vibe it shows.”

Selena Gomez is expected to be back with new music later this year, as confirmed by a video of herself working in a recording studio posted on her Instagram back in February.
